A hotel manager‐turned‐pastry chef, Ali trained at Ferrandi – L’École Supérieure de Cuisine Française in Paris. He worked under Michelin‐ starred chefs in the hotel restaurants of Paris and Geneva. While in Europe, he completed training at the Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologne, Italy and with a gelato master in Singapore. Food art is his passion and smiles are his glory.
After visiting Italy and trying out their variety of Gelatos.., I have to say that YERSEN is the most authentic Gelato place that I've been to in the East Bay!

This is hands down the only gelato store you will ever need in your life. The guy that owns the place is super nice, makes it all by hand, and the gelato is simply to die for. Creamy, rich, smooth. All the adjectives you ever want in a gelato, he got it. Definitely a place to frequent.
Please tell me why I did not discover this place for 18 years! If a place has a 5 star review, you definitely have to check it out because it is a local business that is worth it.

Yersen's Gelato is as good as it gets! It is coming from someone with a sweet-tooth. Their gelato's are fresh, not too sugar, all natural, made out of simple ingredients and the taste is out of the world.
If you blink you miss it! Their gelato is phenomenal! Some of the best I've found. It is so creamy and full of flavor!
